Sage One

Sage One is an online accounting and payroll software that you can easily integrate with your own shop in the editor. Please note that currently Sage One only works with the US branch. To start with the integration process, simply toggle on in the right side of the option; follow the steps below to successfully enable Sage One:

1. Log-In In Your Account

When you first toggle on in the editor, you will be redirected to the Sage One log in page. Log in with your credentials or create an account if you don't have one yet.

2. Application Authorization

Once you have logged in, a new message will cover the screen where you will be asked to allow the editor to access your Sage One account data.

3. Add Preferences & Sync

Once you have allowed the application authorization, you will be brought back to the editor where after some loading you will see the Sage One app enabled. You can now see two new buttons - Preferences and Sync.

3.1. Preferences: Ledger Account

The first option is the Ledger Account. A ledger account is a record used to sort and store your transactions; in this case, the ledger account you choose you will be the one where your editor transactions (sales) will be recorded. You can choose one of the three following ledger accounts:

3.1.1. Professional Fees

Professional fees is income from specially trained individuals and services, such as doctors, accountants, lawyers. Choose this account if these are the kind of services you sell through the editor.

3.1.2. Sales of Materials

Sales of Materials is income from the sale of goods, such as books, flowers, clothes. Choose this account if these are the kind of goods you sell through the editor.

3.1.3. Sales/Fees Discounts

Sales/Fees Discounts is a sales account where you report discounts on your products and services. It is an account mostly used to balance your ledger, so you're more likely to want to report your sales in one of the two previous accounts.

3.1.4. Example

If you have set up your Ledger Account Sales of Materials, the sales done through the editor will be reported in Sage One under that account.

3.1.5. Manage Accounts

To view and manager your ledger accounts in Sage One click on the Settings menu and choose the Chart of Accounts option under the Financial Settings section.

3.2. Preferences: Tax Rate

The second option is the tax rate. In this section you can choose at what rate should the transactions (sales) from the editor be taxed at when recording them on Sage One.

3.2.1. Adding Tax Rates

Add and manage your tax rates on Sage One by clicking on the Settings menu and choosing the Sales Tax option under the Financial Settings section. To make sure the tax rates you add are visible on the editor, don't forget to Save and Sync the Sage One App.

3.2.2. Keep in Mind

The tax rate in Sage One and the tax rate in the editor are independent. This means you will have to set up the relevant tax rate in Sage One and you will have to set the relevant tax rate in the editor; they are not connected and if you change one, you will have to manually change the other. Learn all about the Tax Settings in the editor here!

You should also consider that you can only set up a single tax rate for Sage One through the editor; this means that all transactions coming from the editor, will be taxed at the specified rate. Make sure that your transactions are always recorded at the correct tax rate.

3.3. Changes on Preferences

At any time it is possible to change your ledger account and your tax rate. Don't forget to press the Save button on top of the page and all your transactions from that moment on will be recorded on Sage One with those preferences, having no effect on previous transactions.

4. Finish by Syncing Products, Orders & Settings

General transactions are automatically recorded in Sage One; however, if you want to make sure that all settings, preferences, products and orders are synchronized, simply press the Sync button.

5. That's it!

Your shop should be successfully integrated with Sage One.
